Organize your school day with the integrated calendar designed for German schools.
The Teachturtle calendar is specifically designed for German school life. It helps you plan your lessons and keep track of everything.
Calendar Views
Week View
The default view shows you the current school week:
- Monday to Friday at a glance
- Time grid matching your school schedule
- Color coding by subject
- Quick access to lesson plans
Day View
For detailed planning of individual days:
- All lessons of the day
- More space for details
- Notes and reminders
Month View
For long-term overview:
- All appointments in the month
- Vacations and holidays
- School-free days
Planning Lessons in the Calendar
Adding a New Lesson
- Click on an empty slot in the calendar
- Select "New Lesson" or choose an existing lesson plan
- Assign class and subject
- Done!
Moving Lessons
- Drag & Drop: Simply drag lessons to another time
- Edit: Click on a lesson and change the date
Recurring Events
For regular classes:
- Create a lesson
- Select "Repeat"
- Configure the pattern:
- Daily, weekly, or specific days
- End date or number of repetitions
Vacations and Holidays
Setting Your State
Teachturtle knows the school vacations for all German states:
- Go to Settings > Calendar
- Select your Bundesland (federal state)
- Vacations are automatically displayed in the calendar

- Summer vacation
- Fall break
- Christmas break
- Winter break
- Easter break
- Pentecost break
- Public holidays
School-free Days
Add your own school-free days:
- Professional development days
- School events
- Bridge days
Schedule Configuration
Setting Break Times
Configure your school periods:
- School start: e.g., 8:00 AM
- Period length: e.g., 45 minutes
- Break times: Define short and long breaks

Linking with Lesson Plans
Connecting Lessons with Plans
Each calendar entry can be linked with a lesson plan:
- Click on the appointment
- Select "Link Plan"
- Search for the matching lesson plan
