Manage your classes, subjects, and collaborate with co-teachers.
Class management helps you organize your classes and keep track of subjects and colleagues.
Creating Classes
Create a New Class
- Go to "Classes" in the sidebar
- Click on "New Class"
- Fill in the basic information:
- Class name: e.g., "3a" or "Class 3a"
- School year: e.g., "2024/25"
- Number of students: Student count (optional)
- Room: Classroom (optional)
Assign Grade Level
Select the appropriate grade level:
- Grades 1-4 (Elementary)
- Grades 5-6 (Middle School)
The grade level influences AI generation to ensure age-appropriate content.
Assigning Subjects
Add Subjects
Assign the subjects you teach to your class:
- Open the class details
- Click on "Add Subject"
- Choose from the list:
- German
- Mathematics
- Science
- Art
- Music
- Physical Education
- Religion/Ethics
- English
- ...and more
Subject-Specific Settings
For each subject, you can set:
- Hours per week: How often does the subject occur?
- Color: For calendar display
- Notes: Special notes about the subject
Inviting Co-Teachers
Collaborating with Colleagues
Teachturtle supports team collaboration:
- Open the class settings
- Go to "Team"
- Click on "Invite Co-Teacher"
- Enter the email address
Roles
- Class Teacher: Full administrative rights
- Co-Teacher: Can plan and edit lessons

Dashboard
The class overview shows you:
- All classes at a glance
- Assigned subjects per class
- Recent activities: Recently created lessons

Linking Classes with Lessons
During Lesson Planning
When you create a new lesson:
- Select the Class from the dropdown
- The appropriate Subject is suggested
- The Grade level is automatically applied
