Welcome to Teachturtle! This guide will help you get started quickly and create your first AI-generated lesson plan.

What is Teachturtle?

Teachturtle is your AI-powered teaching assistant. The platform helps you with:

• Lesson Planning: Create detailed lesson plans with AI support
• Lesson Series: Plan coherent learning units spanning multiple weeks
• Calendar: Organize your school day with the integrated calendar
• Class Management: Keep track of your classes and subjects

Your Dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on your personal dashboard. Here you'll see:

• Recent Lesson Plans: Your most recently created or edited lesson plans
• Upcoming Lessons: The next scheduled lessons from your calendar
• Quick Access: Buttons for creating new lessons or lesson series

Creating Your First Lesson

Step 1: Start a New Lesson

Click on "New Lesson" in the dashboard or in the sidebar under "Lesson Planning".

Step 2: Enter Basic Information

Fill in the basic information:

• Topic: What should the lesson cover? (e.g., "Introduction to Fractions")
• Class: Select the class or specify the grade level
• Subject: Mathematics, German, Science, etc.
• Duration: How long is the lesson? (usually 45 or 90 minutes)

Step 3: Start AI Generation

Click on "Generate Lesson". The AI analyzes your topic and creates:

• Appropriate learning objectives for the grade level
• A structured lesson plan with phases
• Ideas for differentiation (for advanced and struggling students)
• Suggestions for materials and media

Step 4: Customize and Save

Review the generated plan and customize it to your preferences:

• Edit texts directly in the editor
• Add your own materials
• Adjust the timing
• Save as PDF for the classroom

After creating your first lesson, you can:
